Alot has happend in the Crowder household over the last month so I feel it is only far to back up and give you a proper update!
Several months ago we begin the interview process with a church in Florida. The position was for a student paster and as we begin the process we felt a peace that the Lord was at work in this situation. During that time we prayed that the Lord would be very clear in what His plan for our family was.
In mid July, after several stages of interviews and lots and lots of prayer, Ethan was called as student pastor! We were simply blow away at how gracious and faithful the Lord was in providing such a great place for us to begin serving in full time ministry. Over the curse of the next 3 weeks we were officially voted on by the church and packed up and headed to Florida.
It was a bittersweet goodbye. We had made Louisville our home. Our best friends were there, school was there, our life was there. However, we had an overwhelming peace that our time in Louisville had come to a close and the Lord wanted us to take this next step in serving him. Ethan and I we reminded that the purpose of seminary was to train us for exactly what the Lord was calling us to. Basil Manly Jr wrote in his hymn Soldiers of Church, in Truth Arrayed "We meet to part and part to meet". I'm not sure it could be said any better than that.
Ethan will finish his remaining classes online and through the seminaries modular program. He has about 8 classes standing between him and his MDiv.
We have been in Florida for about two weeks now and have settled in nicely. Our new church family has welcomed us with open arms and has been more loving than we could have ever expected. Such a blessing. We are excited about the ministry that the Lord has for us here and we look forward to many years of service with this church body!
I have successfully found a new OB who is great. I had my 26 week checkup and all was well. Norah's heartbeat sounds great and she is measuring on track. She moves all the time and is constantly reminding me that she is inside my belly. As if the round bump sticking out isn't good enough :)
We are so thankful for how faithful the Lord has been to our family. His plan for our lives is far greater than we could have ever planned out ourselves. He continues to prove His love for us in ways we could never have imaged. His ways are higher than ours. For this we are grateful.
