Invites, Labels, and Stamps...

My Thursday night was filled with the three things listed above. It was time to finish up the invites and get them ready to be sent. The deal I made with my mom was that she would write them and I would seal them, put the labels on and the stamps. Abby also helped us with the stamps! We are planning to mail them out tomorrow morning! I am looking forward to not having one million post-notes in my planner with addresses in them :) We have our invitations made at a great print shop in Gainesville and let me just tell you that I was more than pleased! They did a wonderful job for a great price. They were fast and very easy to work with. It was so nice to tell them what I wanted and they just took care of it for me! I am excited for everyone to receive theirs in the mail!

Below are a few photos of what our work station looked like :)

My mom calls this the wedding room!

This doesn't even put a dent in how many there are...

I am beyond proud of....

...my Mom! She is truly amazing! She does above and beyond what she has to do and it is an honor to call her my mom!

She has started a brand new blog called Home Treasures. On this blog she will be encouraging other mom's with what she has learned over the years. Offering godly advice from someone who has been there, devotions, as well as giving helpful links to neat places for her readers to get info. So go check out her blog at http://www.hometreasuresministry.blogspot.com/ . Below I have added her mission statement!

Mission Statement
Home Treasures was birthed as a result of my hearts desire to see the high calling of Motherhood valued and revered as a task worth the effort! More than a job or responsibility, motherhood is a ministry. God has a plan for mothers. It is a High Calling and all consuming task. Godly mothers are our Nations greatest treasure! I truly believe that the war that is raging against the family starts in the home. My prayer is that this site will be a source of encouragement, information and resources to better equip us as mothers to win the battle of saving the families of this great Nation we call America!

James is One!

My nephew turned one on Saturday and his party was so much fun! Watching him eat his cake was exciting and he seemed to really enjoy it! I love that in the photo below(Taken by Pam Saxon of www.hekeepsmesinging.blogspot.com) you can see how focused he was on the candle! James is such a blessing to our family! Amber and Chad are still in the adoption stage but just knowing that he will officially be apart of our family "soon" is a great feeling! James brings so much laughter to us and I love being his aunt!

Six weeks...

As of today we are just six weeks from the wedding! I am so full of excitement! We are still working to get a few things in place but I have decided that no detail is worth stressing out over. Yes, they are important and I am working hard to get them into place but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is that Ethan and I will be married! I know that everything will come together perfectly but what excites me the most is marrying Ethan! Sometimes it is hard to believe that we are finally getting married! A day we have both wanted for so long. Ethan brings so much joy into my life and I will be proud to be his wife! June 6th will be here before we know it and I am thrilled!

Bridal Shower...

I had my church bridal shower this past Saturday and it was so much fun! Some sweet ladies hosted the shower for me and I am so thankful for all of their hard work and effort into making it perfect for me! Ethan and I were blessed with many many gifts and we are so thankful for them! I really enjoyed the shower and when I got home I made Ethan sit there while I showed him every gift :) I cannot thank all of the ladies who helped put my shower together enough! It meant to world to me!

I have attached many photos to this post so I hope that they will load on your computer!

Home Sweet Home...

....well almost. I don't live there yet :) but once I move into our apartment in June I will gladly call it home! Ethan and I have been working over the past week to get things moved in. Ethan has stayed the night twice but has been there just about everyday to each lunch and do homework on his lunch break or in between his classes. He had some of his friends spend the night last Friday and from what I have heard they had a great time. I stopped by Saturday around lunch and they were still hanging out on the couches playing rock band. I am so glad that they felt welcome in our home and they even picked up whatever messes they made! I was pleased :) On Saturday night we had our friends Ben and Mo over to watch a movie. We had a great time with them and it was fun having them over to our home! We have already moved things around a few times and I am sure we will move it around again. I plan to go over there tonight to get more things in place. I like it when I know that the apartment is clean! I have a bit of OCD...hehe! My first bridal shower is this Saturday and I can't wait to take my new things over to the house and show Ethan! I added a few photo for your enjoyment. I forgot to take a photo of the outside...I'll take one soon!

This is the dinning room table that my parents got us. I LOVE it! FYI: It does have a forth chair we just decided to put it in the office for now. The seat covers were added by my mom. I ended up taking them off because I didn't think that Ethan wanted to look at pink polka dots all day :)
On our couch! My mom wanted to make sure that Ethan had pillows between now and when we get the ones we registered for. She is too cute!

In our kitchen!
PS. We are now down to 54 days!!!!

I love being an Aunt

A few weeks ago Amber asked Ethan and I if we could watch James while her and Chad went out to dinner for Chad's birthday. Ethan and I were really excited because it is rare when anyone gets to spend time with James alone :) We had so much fun! James is all over the place and one of his favorite things to do was climb on his Uncle Ethan. He is talking all the time now and he has quite the personality. We really enjoyed watching him! This little boy has brought so much laughter and joy to our family and we are so blessed to have him in our lives! James is turning one in a few weeks and he is getting so big. Right now I am trying to teach him how to say my name :)

Amber and Chad, It's about time we watch him again!

This one is by far my favorite!
