Lat night Ethan and I to a place called BW's with a group of friends! They have some awesome wings, and every Thursday night the wings are only 50 cents each. They have some awesome flavors to pick from, and they are boneless. It was so much fun to spend time with friends, and to eat some great food!! We have decided that Thursday nights will be our BW's night! Here are some photos for ya!

Silly Girls...
You never know what might happen we you are tired.... Well, last night I was out in the hall with my friends Kendall and Hope(they live on my hall), and we were just talking, and catching up on things when Kendall had the idea to try and climb the walls. Kendall has been having really bad back problems, so after she tried the first time, she couldn't try again. After that I decided I would try it, and as you will see in the photos below I was successful! Well, not at climbing, but I was able to hold myself up. It was so funny, and we just couldn't stop laughing. After I went Hope tried it, and was laughing so much that she couldn't. I know you are probably thinking that we are crazy, and I would venture to say that we are :) but we had a lot of good laughs! Here are some photos for your enjoyment!!

Moments
One of my favorite photos!

Today marks 3 weeks that I have been at Boyce. I can honestly say that I love it here! I am so thankful that God has allowed me to be apart of such an amazing school. He is doing profound things at Southern and Boyce, and it is so awesome to be apart of it. I have had moments of excitement, sadness, fear, laughter, joy, stress, but most of all moments of missing my family, and loved ones back home. I love my family with all of my heart, and being away from them is truly deepening that love. I haven't been near as homesick as I thought I was going to be, but there are moments when it just takes over me. My family is such a huge part of me, and it makes it that much harder. I miss them so much, and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have their love and support! Knowing that they support my being here at Boyce, and that they support me as I prepare for the call that God has placed upon my life is amazing! I am not trying to be boastful, but I am pretty sure I have one of the most amazing family in the world! And Ethan's family is right up next to mine!!Knowing that I also have the support of Ethan's family means the world to me! I am excited as I go deeper into my classes, and as I learn more. I have already learned so much, and my faith has already grown so much deeper. I am looking forward to sharing deeper thoughts with everyone as I get deeper into my classes! I love being here, and I love all that I am getting do be apart of! God has blessed me so much, and has opened up so many awesome doors! I am just in awe of His goodness! Ethan is also doing great, and he is loving his classes(all but math!). We both miss everyone dearly, and hope that all is well in Keystone!
All my love-Anna
PS. I am glad ya'll made it through Fay!!

Romans 13:1-2
As I was spending time in God's word tonight, I read this verse. It's boldness stood out to me, and it made me dwell upon it.
"(1)Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which are established by God.(2)Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves."(New American Standard Bible)
It is so easy for us to fall away from the authority of God. We so often don't even think about it. We tend to categorize things in our minds, and it's wrong for us to do so. God has authority over all, and that with is established is by God. When we reject any kind of authority, big or small, we are sinning against God. We are not following His will for our life, and by this we are causing condemnation upon ourselves.
It's a command that we as believers must follow...

Flying over Louisville!!
I am so excited about what Ethan and I got to do this evening!! My new friend Kristen, who is a member of Aletheia, and who has been beyond wonderful to me since the moment we met, asked me if Ethan and I would like to meet up to hang out with her and her boyfriend Byron sometime tonight. I was really excited for Ethan to meet Byron, because I thought that they would get along so well! Kristen and Byron had already eaten dinner so they sat with Ethan and I while we ate. After we finished eating Byron asked Ethan and I if we would like to go flying!! Byron is a pilot, and is working towards being a commercial pilot. He works for a man who gives him access to 3 planes. I was kind of hesitant at first, but then I was like why not, you only live once!!! Let me just tell you that it was a BLAST! It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done! We were in a 4 setter plane, and we got to see Louisville, and parts of Indiana! Byron is a really good pilot, and showed us lots of really cool things! We felt really safe with him! Ethan and I have never flown on a small plane like that, but we both LOVED it and can't wait to go again! I am sad to say that I didn't have my camera with me, so I am unable to show you photos! However, Ethan did have his cell phone with him so we took a few photos with that! It was kind of crazy, because while we were in the air my dad called Ethan's phone. Ethan answered and told him that we were flying, and my dad told him to call back when we landed. My dad told my family, and I think we gave my mom quite the scare(sorry mommy)! We hope to plan a time when Byron can fly us home, and that way Kristen and him can come visit Florida, and Ethan and I get a free trip home!! After our flight we went and got some ice cream, and just enjoyed talking to each other! They are some of the sweetest people I have ever met, and they both have such a deep love for the Lord! I am so thankful that the Lord has placed Kristen and Byron in our lives so early in our time at Boyce! I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful friendship!
College classes have begun!
Yesterday was the first day of classes here at Boyce! My first class was at 11:30, and so was Ethan's. It is so great to open and close classes with prayer! It is so awesome to be learning more about the word of God, worldview...ect...! I loved it! It's going to be a very hard semester, but I know that with a lot of studying and hard work, I can do it! The professor here are great, and it is such an encouragement to know that they love the Lord. It makes such a difference. I am really looking forward to my other two classes that I have on Thursday! Ethan also really enjoyed his classes, and I am excited about having a few classes with him. I am trying to get to know the girls on my hall, but remembering names is really hard. That night we had our first dorm meeting and our first hall meeting! My RL is awesome, and I know that I am really going to enjoy getting to know her more! I plan to share more on what I am learning within the next few posts, but for now, here are some photos from the first day of classes!
Ethan talking on the phone before we head over to Carver(Boyce College,Guys Dorms)!
Me looking like a nerd :) I wore my glasses because my eyes have been bothering me, and it was a good thing I did, because it made a big difference in class!
The beautiful Library! It's the biggest theological Library in the US, and the 3rd in the world! It's unbelievable!
On the 3rd floor of the Library, in the very back there are photos of Southern Seminary from when it started 150 years ago until 1959! It's crazy. Some of the people are pretty crazy looking.
They take such good care of the lawn, and I thought that these flowers were just beautiful!

Oh What a Day....
Today was one of those days were most things didn't go right. Ethan and I had planned on getting up early and visiting a church this morning, so we left about an hour before the service started. The church is about 20 minutes away, and we really wanted to be on time. Well, we ended up getting lose and driving around within about 2 miles of the church over an hour. We couldn't figure out why we hadn't found the church, and we both were just over it. Well, we ended up figuring it out, and it was right under our noses the whole time. It was one of those roads that veers off, and our directions didn't tell us that. It said to turn, so we were looking for a turn. The street signs are also not hanging in the middle of the road like we are used to, and the sign for the street was somewhat faded, and hidden behind another sigh. After about one and a half hours of driving we found the church, but were 30 minutes late for the service. We decided we would head back and go get some lunch. On our way back we ended up getting somewhat lost, but luckily that didn't last long. We figured out how to get back on the interstate, and to a mall that was close to Boyce! We went to one of the malls to walk around, and we both really enjoyed doing that! We had so much fun talking, and people watching! After that we decided that we would go to our dorms and change and then head back out to church for the evening service. We made it there with no problems, but when we got there we didn't see many cars. This church has about 2000 on a Sunday morning, so we knew something must we up. We went ahead and went into the church, and when we did all we found was a few elderly people and an empty worship center. Come to find out they aren't having an evening service until the 24th, and the elderly people were there for a Sunday school meeting. All Ethan and I could do was laugh. We just couldn't believe how the day hand turned out. So we decided to head back to Boyce and get some dinner. We had a nice time at dinner, then we went and walked around in Target, and then we went and sat on a bench at a near by park. It was beautiful outside, and there were lots of people walking. Ethan and I have both been really homesick, and it was good for us to just sit and talk about all that was going through out heads.
We both feel like God is going to, and already is, using this time in our lives to depend on each other in a new way. Christ is our ultimate comforter, but we also feel that He has allowed us to be at school together for a reason. We feel very blessed.
Here are a few photos from the day :)

Weekend Update!
It has been a very tiring weekend, it it's not even over with :) Thursday Ethan and his parents got here, so I spend the whole afternoon, and evening with them! We went to eat at Outback, and then enjoyed watching some TV! Friday started at about 7:45 and I didn't get to bed until about 12pm. I had Aletheia rehearsal from 9am until about 3pm. Then I had a little break to go back to my room and get ready for the commissioning service. Ethan moved into his dorm room, and from the photos I saw, it looks great! The commissioning service went great, and it was such a sweet time of worship! I am so glad that Aletheia made it through their first singing together, and nobody got hurt :) I think that for our very first time preforming it went really well! This morning also started early with lots of orientation events. We have a little break right now to chill, and relax in our rooms before we go out to dinner with our howdy group. Ethan and I got put in the same group, and I am really glad for that! I find it easier to talk to people when I have someone I know with me! We have both met some new people! I've met a lot of sweet girls on my hall, and am very excited about getting to know them more! Ethan was going to get to meet his roommate today, so I am waiting to hear about about how that went! His roommate has been here a few years, and from what the guys on Aletheia told me, he is a pretty cool guy! Ethan was glad to hear that! Tomorrow we are going to visit a church on our own for the first time, and we are both trusting that God will guide us to the church He wants us at. It's been a busy, but enjoyable weekend! I am looking forward to a nap tomorrow afternoon!!
Here are a few new photos I wanted to shear!

Update.....

I am so excited that Ethan is here! He got here, along with his parents, right around lunch time! I was able to see them for about 5 minutes before I went to lunch with Aletheia. I am so thankful that they made it here safely! I have the rest of the day off, so I will be spending it with them! They had to go get one of his tires worked on so I am just waiting for them to get back!Everything has been going well, and my team is really getting along great! I went to the bookstore to buy books today(thanks daddy!), so that I wouldn't be in there trying to get them tomorrow while all the new and returning students are trying to buy their books! Thankfully the prices on my books were 200.00 dollars less than I thought they would be! A huge blessing!! God is so good, and He has continued to show me His unending love this week. Even when it comes to the things like where my room is located!! He has truly blessed me! I said something about my address in my last post, but wanted to say it again. If anyone would life my new address e-mail me and I will get it to you! I'm still having a hard time with the combination on my box, but I'm determined to figure it out :)
PS. The photo above is one of my books. I am only taking 4 classes, and that isn't even all of them. My friend Kristen(one of the girls on Aletheia) is going to let me barrow some of the ones she has. I'm going to need a really big book bag :)

I'm Alive!
I am so sorry that I have been such a blog slacker, but I have a very good reason. The Internet in my dorm is down, so today was the first day I was able to get to the computer lab. I wanted to give everyone some kind of an update, so here it goes :)
I'm doing well, and Aletheia training is going well. We have been practicing every morning from about 9:00 until 12:30. We have had some successful practices, and are working hard, so that we will be ready to sing at the commission service this Friday night for all the new Boyce students. I am excited to be able to sing at my own commissioning service! I have been homesick, and am really missing my family, but I know that that is part of it. I am really excited that Ethan is on his way here as I type, and him and his parents will be here tomorrow(Thursday). I can't wait to see him! I have missed him so much! I am starting to get used to everything around here. It's all so nice, and I enjoy having so much right on campus! I went to price my books today, and then I went to visit Maggie A. who works for the Seminary! I have the rest of the day off today, so I am just chillin, and tonight I am going to go into town to get a few more things! The town here is great! The are TWO malls about 10 minutes down the road, along with a Target, and many other great things! Tomorrow I have practice, and then we are having group photos taken! Everyone in my team gets along really well, and my director is also really great to work with. He pushes us all really hard, but in a good way. I am getting nervous about classes starting, but know that I am just going to have to work really hard. So far I am loving Kentucky. It is hot here, but it a different way. Not near as not at home. I am looking forward to fall, when my family gets to visit!!
So, I hope I gave you some what of a good update! I will do my best to write again tomorrow! I miss everyone, and want to thank all of you who have been keeping up with me by phone, facebook, or my blog! I really enjoy it! It makes me feel missed :) I love you all!
PS. I have my address now, so for any of you who would like it, please send me an e-mail, or a facebook message!

My Dorm Room!
Friday, August 1, 2008
I'm here...
As I type this I am sitting in our hotel room, after a long 14 hour drive. We ran into some road work, and an accident. Other than that we didn't have any problems. Abby and I tried to sleep most of the way, but on the last hour we thought we were going to loose our minds :) When I talked to Ethan, after we got here, I told him that I have never felt to excited and nervous at the same time. We are all worn out, so I think I am about to head to bed! I hope to post some photos of my dorm, once we get everything set up! Keep checking back!
PS. Here is a photo Abby just took of me, while one the computer. Sorry it's kind of dark.
