Update.....

I am so excited that Ethan is here! He got here, along with his parents, right around lunch time! I was able to see them for about 5 minutes before I went to lunch with Aletheia. I am so thankful that they made it here safely! I have the rest of the day off, so I will be spending it with them! They had to go get one of his tires worked on so I am just waiting for them to get back!Everything has been going well, and my team is really getting along great! I went to the bookstore to buy books today(thanks daddy!), so that I wouldn't be in there trying to get them tomorrow while all the new and returning students are trying to buy their books! Thankfully the prices on my books were 200.00 dollars less than I thought they would be! A huge blessing!! God is so good, and He has continued to show me His unending love this week. Even when it comes to the things like where my room is located!! He has truly blessed me! I said something about my address in my last post, but wanted to say it again. If anyone would life my new address e-mail me and I will get it to you! I'm still having a hard time with the combination on my box, but I'm determined to figure it out :)

PS. The photo above is one of my books. I am only taking 4 classes, and that isn't even all of them. My friend Kristen(one of the girls on Aletheia) is going to let me barrow some of the ones she has. I'm going to need a really big book bag :)

I'm Alive!

I am so sorry that I have been such a blog slacker, but I have a very good reason. The Internet in my dorm is down, so today was the first day I was able to get to the computer lab. I wanted to give everyone some kind of an update, so here it goes :)

I'm doing well, and Aletheia training is going well. We have been practicing every morning from about 9:00 until 12:30. We have had some successful practices, and are working hard, so that we will be ready to sing at the commission service this Friday night for all the new Boyce students. I am excited to be able to sing at my own commissioning service! I have been homesick, and am really missing my family, but I know that that is part of it. I am really excited that Ethan is on his way here as I type, and him and his parents will be here tomorrow(Thursday). I can't wait to see him! I have missed him so much! I am starting to get used to everything around here. It's all so nice, and I enjoy having so much right on campus! I went to price my books today, and then I went to visit Maggie A. who works for the Seminary! I have the rest of the day off today, so I am just chillin, and tonight I am going to go into town to get a few more things! The town here is great! The are TWO malls about 10 minutes down the road, along with a Target, and many other great things! Tomorrow I have practice, and then we are having group photos taken! Everyone in my team gets along really well, and my director is also really great to work with. He pushes us all really hard, but in a good way. I am getting nervous about classes starting, but know that I am just going to have to work really hard. So far I am loving Kentucky. It is hot here, but it a different way. Not near as not at home. I am looking forward to fall, when my family gets to visit!!

So, I hope I gave you some what of a good update! I will do my best to write again tomorrow! I miss everyone, and want to thank all of you who have been keeping up with me by phone, facebook, or my blog! I really enjoy it! It makes me feel missed :) I love you all!

PS. I have my address now, so for any of you who would like it, please send me an e-mail, or a facebook message!

My Dorm Room!

I am really excited about my room. The Lord really blessed me with a beautiful view, and I am right across from the washers and dryers, and the bathroom and also across the hall. Here are a few photos that I took after we finished setting everything up!

I'm here...

As I type this I am sitting in our hotel room, after a long 14 hour drive. We ran into some road work, and an accident. Other than that we didn't have any problems. Abby and I tried to sleep most of the way, but on the last hour we thought we were going to loose our minds :) When I talked to Ethan, after we got here, I told him that I have never felt to excited and nervous at the same time. We are all worn out, so I think I am about to head to bed! I hope to post some photos of my dorm, once we get everything set up! Keep checking back!

PS. Here is a photo Abby just took of me, while one the computer. Sorry it's kind of dark.

Get ready...Get set...

It's here, the moment I have been thinking about for a very long time. The moment when my car if filled with all of my things, and my room is empty. I have prayed that God would prepare my heart for this, and even though it not easy, I know that He has. When I think about my fears, I remember that fear is not of the Lord. When I begin to worry, I remember that worrying is the end of faith. When I think about how inadequate I am, I remember that He is adequate for me. I know that the Lord has equipped me for this moment. I am trusting in His never ending love! As I think about saying good bye to my family, my eyes are filled with tears. The love I have for my family has grow so much over the past 5 months, with all of us being at home. I can't even begin to express to you how much I love Daddy, Mommy, Amber, Chad, Dave, Apryl, Abby, Maggie, and Wynstone :) They are my world, and I love them with all of my heart. As I think about this moment, I take a breath, and praise God for His faithfulness. I praise Him for allowing me to go to college, and for showing me so clearly that this is where He wants me to be. I praise Him for my family, for Ethan, and for all of my wonderful friends. I praise Him for His grace, and I praise Him for His mercy. I praise Him for providing for me, and I praise Him for guiding me. I must always praise Him....We must always praise Him. So get ready...get set...here I go!

How can I thank you enough?

Over the past few weeks some very special people have blessed me with some very needed gifts. I never thought I would get so excited over things like hand soap, dryer sheets, cotton balls, cleaning supplies, a microwave, and note pads (just to name a few). It has been such a blessing to receive the gifts that I have been given. I wanted to say an extra special thank you to the ones you have been so giving! You know you who are! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I love you each dearly, and every time I use what you gave me I will think of you!!

Good bye's...

Over the past week I have begun to say some of my good byes. I have not enjoyed the actual good bye part, but I have had the chance to spend some with people I love dearly. On Friday night Mrs.Jeannie came by the house to spend some time with me, and tell me good bye. I enjoyed hearing some of her college stories, and I also enjoyed showing her all the things I have for my dorm room. Mrs.Jeannie has known me since I was about 4. I am so thankful for all of the years I have known her, and have been able to learn from her!

On Saturday my cousin Rachel came into town to go out to eat! Rachel and I, along with Abby, Apryl, and my other 2 cousins, Jen and Jerry, had a great time eating at Johnny's! Rachel wrote me the sweetest letter, and in it she gave me lots of good advice about things she learned from her 1st year of college!

Today Ethan and I were able to spend a few hours with Bro.Jeff and Mrs.Tessa! We both really enjoyed hearing many of their Kentucky stories, and we now know that no matter what we must be out of Kentucky in 13 years :) Mrs.Tessa, you know exactly what I am talking about! Bro.Jeff and Mrs. Tessa came to Trinity when Ethan and I were going into 9th grade, so they have watched us grow up over the past 4 years! We are so blessed to have them in our life, and the time we spent with them today was so special to both of us!

I can't thank God enough with all of the wonderful people Ethan and I have been able to grow close to! He has given us so many godly people to look up to and learn from! We are sad to say good bye to them, but know that they are praying for us, and are so thankful for the impact they have had on our lives.
