Interview with Lauren Chandler
Lauren Chandler is the wife of Matt Chandler who is the Pastor of The Village Church( http://www.thevillagechurch.net/ ) Recently she did a Q&A with another pastors wife who has blogged the questions along with Lauren's answers. I found this extremely helpful as Ethan and I answer God's calling into full time ministry and wanted to share it with you. You can find the Q&A at: http://hooverhousehold.blogspot.com/2011/02/interview-with-lauren-chandler.html

WW week 5
This points plus calculator on my iPhone has been my best friend over the past several weeks. It has made counting my points a breeze!I just finished up my 5th week of Weight Watchers. It was a hard week for me and I was worried that I had gained a little bit. However, I lost 3lbs this week! I am thrilled!
My total weight loss is: 9lbs
I am pretty excited and this 3lbs gives me the encouragement that I have been needing!

Weight Watchers
This post is to continue to keep myself accountable :)
I just finished my 4th week of WW and have really gotten used to counting my points. I have the WW iPhone app and it has been my best friend over the past 4 weeks. I use it to find recipes, track my points, look up the points plus value of foods, track my weight and I can look at the points of food for almost any restaurant. Weight Watchers goal is to help you eat healthy while also losing on average 2 pounds a week. It's a lifestyle change, not just a diet.
This is huge to me. The 5 pound mark was hard for me to jump over and I am glad made it :) As long a my weight is going down and not up I am happy. Even if it may take me while.I have been so pleased with WW and really believe that it's a great way to eat healthy and achieve your weight loss goals.
Ethan is doing WW with me and that has been a huge encouragement to me. He has lost over 10 pounds!
WW has some great deals going on right now. Check it out: www.weightwatchers.com

Disney Princess 5k

Now as much as I would like to tell you that I am running a 1/2 marathon, I am not. However, I have officially registered for the Beauty and the Beast 5K that will take place as part of the Princess weekend in February. I am so excited about this run! A 5k is equal for 3.1 miles. This is a great starting place for me. This will be my first "race" and I am pretty pumped. Now I am not sure if I will ever run a 1/2 marathon, but the thought of being apart of something similar, yet smaller :), really excites me! I have been training for several months and am feeling pretty well prepared. The 5k will take place in Epcot, which is one of my favorite parks! I still have about a month or so to finish up my training and gain speed, and I am thankful for this extra time to help me become more confident. This run is a pretty big deal to me. A few months ago I set out to start running and this race is a symbol to me that I have accomplished a huge goal.
My next goal is to run another 5k in April in Jacksonville. Anyone want to join me? :)

Update
Life has returned to its "normal" self. Ethan starts classes back this week, and life as we have grow accustomed to is back in full swing. Ethan does much better with the "busy" lifestyle than I do. I am very much a homebody, so we balance each other out very well. I am very thankful for this.
We have lots of fun and exciting things coming up this Spring and I am very thankful that we are able to be apart of so much. God has given us lots of opportunities and I am excited to see what He is going to do through them.
Our prayer is that as the Lord continues to lead us, that we will be faithful and obedient to His call. Regardless of how big or small it may seem.
We are called, as Christians, to be obedient to His word. This is struggle. It is easy to choose the things we want to be obedient to, but as Christians, we are commanded to obey His word and His leading. Not parts of it, but all of it. My prayer is that I will daily lay down my cross, surrendering to His will and His will alone.
